Scripture: Philippians 3:1-11

Summary: In Jerusalem, about AD 30, Jesus died on the cross. He was resurrected on the third day and then ascended into heaven. Fifty days after Jesus' resurrection, the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles, giving them power, purpose, and a plan. Out of joy, the church was born. Empowered by the Spirit, Peter gave his first sermon, and 3,000 people’s lives were transformed (The Village Church). Because of persecution, the early church scattered from Jerusalem to Judea and eventually to the ends of the earth. Everywhere they went, they took the hope of the gospel with them. We are part of their legacy.

This Sunday, two thousand years later, on a different continent, in a different culture and language, the people of Blackfoot Christian Fellowship will join together with over two billion Christians worldwide to celebrate the risen Christ! Will you join us?
