The prophets were charged to speak God's Word to His people. They didn't necessarily make up their own words, but pulled from the Law of Moses as inspiration to challenge the people as Jeremiah did in his day. In this passage, we'll see how Jeremiah goes to the center of worship in Jerusalem, the temple, and challenges the people on their false hope in ritual over obedience and justice. We'll be challenged to be sure we're walking out an authentic faith, as opposed to going through the motions and living however we want.
